The rules of The Premiere Festival, Bydgoszcz 2010

§ 1

The Premiere Festival is organized by Polish Theatre in Bydgoszcz and sponsored by The Bydgoszcz Municipal Council and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage grants as well as donations from individual donors.

§ 2

1. The Premiere Festival is an annual event.
2. The Festival presents the premiere performances.
3. The festival includes those participants who performed in the season before the festival and those who will be performing during the festival for the first time.
4. Both Polish and foreign repertory companies are invited to perform in the festival.
5. In exceptional circumstances, the Festival Director can invite other theatres to enter a competition.

§ 3

1. Polish Theatre Director is, at the same time, The Premiere Festival Director.
2. The Premiere Festival Director decides on the repertoire.
3. The Premiere Festival Director sets up the Committee which makes the preliminary competition classification.

§ 4

1. The Premiere Festival is a competition judged by jury.
2. The jury is appointed by the Festival Director.
3. The jury committee awards, at its own discretion, the authors of the performances.
4. The Festival Director presents the final expenditure plan to the President of Bydgoszcz.

§ 5

1. The Festival Organizing Office is appointed by Polish Theatre Director.
2. The Festival Organizing Office coordinates work on the Festival, its technical support, promotion, sponsorship and other things connected with the realization of the undertaking.

4. The Festival Director takes all the financial decisions concerning the Festival after consultation with the Deputy Director, the Chief Accountant of the Hieronim Konieczko Polish Theatre.
 
§ 6

The theatre which enters the Festival is obliged to:
1. send advertising materials, including a recording of the performance and permission for using them (free of charge).
2. determine the technical requirements for presenting the performance, particularly:
- filling in the application form
- determing the conditions of the technical realization of the performance and putting mutual technical obligations in writing
- sending a detailed schedule concerning technical demands
- setting the date of the technical visit in the place where the performance is to take place
3. arrange transport for the theatre group and support services as well as scenography and props to Bydgoszcz and back ( at its own expense)

§ 7

Organizers of the Festival guarantee:
1. technical conditions essential for presenting the premiere performances (which are within the organizers' capabilities) and conditions for management, organization as well as accommodation
2. to refund the cost of the presentations based on the conditions of contracts
3. to cover the accommodation expenses and pay honorarium for members of the jury
4. to book hotels and tickets for accredited journalists

§ 8
The organizer reserves the right to make any changes to the Rules of the Premiere Festival.
